MAY 2018 PHOTO CONTEST #150 INTRO Thread – “Let There Be LIGHT!”

The photo contest theme for the month of May is….

    “Let There Be LIGHT!”

Photographers are always chasing light. The most beautiful and interesting photos are the ones that capture dramatic contrasts of light and shadows. There are lots of composition ideas, tons of photography techniques, countless lens options and what not, but it's still all about the light.

*The contest ENTRY thread will be posted later in the month.

*There is only ONE submission per person, so make it your best.

*Your entry photo MUST be taken during the month of April 2018.

Now, go out and catch some light!

Feel free to post some past light you've caught on this thread to get everyone fired up about what's possible.

      Cool captures Shane!

I like shooting critters in the good light, but I've never been much for chasing sunsets. You have some beauties!

Beautiful pics Shane but the second one made me laugh. All of that in front of him and he's looking at his **** phone. I'm sure that's the dad in me coming out though.

He was taking pics too. I caught him looking at the one he'd just taken. About 5 seconds later, his next pic was a blurry shot of the rock under him. He heard a noise about 20 yards above us in the rocks, and turned around to see a couple aoudad ewes getting up from their beds - and took a pic of the ground in the confusion. We'd almost walked right in on top of them and didn't see them. They must have been sleeping pretty hard, cause it took them a few minutes to wake up.

About 6 minutes later, this was my next pic....

Wow! Those are some really cool pics...ive got a digital canon but never really learned how to use it much, other than point and shoot.
