The little savages will probably use it to scratch their bellies, or hang from, while they rob you blind. Interesting concept. Time will tell. Good luck.

Maybe tip the heads w/ poison.

How does the coon get on the feeder tube?
        Chin ups?

The spikes look a little too long to me, but it could just be the pic.

They will impale themselves, then probably sue you.
Actually, I don't think there really is a way to keep them off things, they can easily get to.

They climb up the feeder legs, then leap over to the spouts. So far, they haven't got onto the spout with spikes. They have been on all the others though, so I think it could be working.

Coon deterrent,, that's a good start for a Monday funny... I don't think there's such a thing as an effective coon deterrent. You ever heard the old saying; what a coon can't tear up he'll poop on. You know if you could get 220v to those spikes you might be on to something.

I've killed hundreds the past few years. I've slowed them down, but it's not good enough.

Put a dog proof trap out on every leg of your feeders. Then put a few around the pens. I use just cheap as I can get cat food and will catch multiple a night. I have had great success doing this. We would 10-15 a night on feeders. We may have 1 every once in a while now. You have to keep the traps going all the time. That only time ours are not set is during deer season.
