Default Good riddance- serial killer executed

I donít know if he was a serial killer by definition, but he raped multiple women and killed two using the same method and disposing the bodies the same way...

Rosendo Rodriguez, confessed killer of Summer Baldwin, Joanna Rogers, executed in Huntsville
Shaley Sanders
Mar 27, 2018 06:59 PM
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The man who confessed to the murders of Summer Baldwin and Joanna Rogers has been executed in Huntsville but the families of the victims "can't call this closure."

"I donít think about Rosendo. I donít pray for him. I donít ask for forgiveness for him, donít forgive him. He is nothing, he is through, heís gone. He just doesnít get any more of my life," said Kathy Rogers.

Fourteen years have passed since Kathy and Joe Bill Rogers lost their daughter Joanna.

Rosendo Rodriguez III admitted to two murders. He told investigators he killed 16-year-old Joanna Rogers in 2004 and 29-year-old Summer Baldwin in 2005.

Rodriguez said he strangled the women, stuffed their bodies in suitcases and threw them in dumpsters.

Baldwin, Uvah Robakís only child, was pregnant when Rodriguez killed her.

"He put Summer in that suitcase while she was still alive so she suffocated. How horrible that must have been. He is just a horrible, horrible person. He doesnít deserve to be on this earth," Robak said.

Law enforcement and volunteers worked to recover the womenís bodies from the city landfill.

"Thank God that they were patient enough to help us find Joanna. My closure came when they brought Joanna out of the landfill," Kathy said.

During the trial, the state brought forward a handful of women who claimed Rodriguez had sexually assaulted them.

"He deserves the death sentence because both the girls we know he murdered and all the girls he raped and who knows if there are others," Robak said.

It took a jury less than three hours to find Rodriguez guilty of murder.

They sentenced him to death. Official time of death was Tuesday, March 27 at 6:46 p.m.

I went to school with Joanna's older brother for a few years. I vividly remember when she went missing. The world is a better place

Itís hard not to think that death is too easy of a punishment for those crimes, but as a Christian I hope he repented of his sins and was forgiven by our God.

This whole story was on tv on one of those mystery channels like Investigative Discovery a few weeks ago. What a total POS! They waited 14 years to long to kill him.
Glad he is no longer wasting oxygen.

The death penalty takes way too long to be carried out. An endless list of appeal after appeal and all the while the victim's families live with it waiting for closure. No peace, no happiness but just closure. It needs to be changed.

We are lucky he was executed today, I thought he had a decent argument for a stay of execution. There was some improprieties in the Medical Examiners Office when the autopsy of Joanna was done, I was expecting the stay to be granted

That's good, I was a year into Tech when that happened and remember seeing the story on the news over the years and had a buddy with LBkSO who spent nights out at the landfill. Glad that PoS got what he deserved

Illegal alien or not they waited too **** long to get rid ofthe pos. Should have put him in a suitcase and buried him in a landfill with the rest of the garbage that he was.

Another piece of trash gone. And another reason we should go back to public hangings on the courthouse grounds.

POS never showed remorse for any of the victims. Just like the DA that prosecuted this case, this POS was pure evil!

I'll save the state millions...

I'll provide the gun, the ammo & do it myself free of charge...

I'll even dig the hole & cover the POS just like a cat...again, all free of charge....
