Montgomery, Texas - where to buy groceries

wife, daughter and their girl friends are in Montgomery and looking for a place to buy groceries for 1-2 days. Is their a Brookshire or small grocery store to buy food items ? Any suggestions on things to do or places to eat ? They are going to Blue Bell Thursday and then Waco on Friday. thanks

Brookshire Brothers in downtown Montgomery. On the SE corner of FM 149 and FM 105

        1. Do NOT speed in Montgomery.
        2. There is a BB at the corner of 149 and 105, there is a Kroger at the corner of 2854 and 105.
        3. Nice small place to eat in town is the Cozy Grape.
        4. Relay Station out 105 west towards Plantersville is good cafe food and I think Friday nights is all you can eat catfish(used to be anyway). They also have the big steak challenge too. 70 something oz's.
        5. Do NOT speed down 105 towards Conroe, Conroe PD is thick and works it hard.
        6. Restaurants on lake are pretty much bar food. Wolfie's is ok but stays crowed.
        7. Ransom's steakhouse in Montgomery between 2854 and 105 is good.
        8. Things to do....not a whole lot in Montgomery really. There's a putt putt place by Ransoms and also Fernland park right across the street. Its a little place with old historic homes on it to look at in go if you like that sort of thing.
        9. And of course all the little boutiques/ shops in downtown Montgomery. You can park and walk to all of them.

I can help with recommendations for Waco if you can narrow down what kind of food they like.

Brookshire and new krogers as mentioned.
                          Ransoms is not good food.

go up 105 a bit (past 2854) and there are a couple mexican resturants there on left.... Big Sombero is good.
