    Homemade apple pie shine

Got this from another site and tried it, it's awesome.
    1/2 gal apple juice
    1/2 gal apple cider
    1 cup white sugar
    1 cup dark brown sugar
    6 cinnamon sticks
    750ml Everclear

Mix all but the Everclear in a pot and heat till it's almost to a boil, to make sure the sugar desolves
Remove from heat and let cool. Add the bottle of Everclear and pour into Qt. jars and you're done.

PS, it's really good mixed with Vanilla ice cream too

Be sure and let the mix cool before adding the Everclear, you stand a chance of losing some of the alcohol content if added when it's hot. And, don't leave any of the cinnamon sticks in the bottled brew, I did to see what it would do, way too much cinnamon after a few days.

I think I would drink myself into a stupper with that stuff...

but would be great one those cold hunting days (if it was warm)

do you have to "can the shine" after you put it in the jars? Wondering if they need to be sealed in a traditional canning method to prevent spoilage, it will make about 1 1/2 gallons? will it spoil?

I think I could easily OD on this stuff with some ice cream or even coffee!

I would guess the Everclear would prevent it spoiling, but would like to know as well.

had tried a few different recipes, they are great, didn't ever think it was that easy to make...
