We can still make it work even if everyone just brings two whole chickens a piece. That would be about 16-20 birds.
Looks like that is what we are going to have to do if dan doesn't reply .

Daggum it, between being swamped at work and tapacrap being garbage I haven't gotten my PM lately. Thanks for Damian and Jason texting me.

We're good for the chickens but with a smaller order we might just do it on our own so we don't have to Hassle Cale with a few chickens, I know he's even busier this year with all the Archery shoots he has going on

Ok, everyone bring 2-3 birds. With 5-6 of us that should be enough. I'll start the pit before I leave and put my birds on with some breakfast ( hopefully). Hope to have the pit rolling a bit earlier so we can serve earlier.

Haven't looked at the list lately, do we have everything covered?

We will probably be there around 5 or 6 am. Final call is whatever Damian says, with him having the pit pre lit I dont imagine it will be any earlier than 5.

Update

I have the pit and lumber. I have a pear burner and SOME gas. ( If I get time I'll try and get one filled)
Can someone bring some water? I could use some water to wash and clean. Maybe a couple small plastic tubs.

I've got some rub made. ( Hope it's enough)
Also have a couple bottles of sauce.

Can anyone help?

I bought a lot of stuff. I think we should have most everything we will need. I'm going to make a breakfast casserole, I'll have the birds I bought seasoned and ready to go.

Got fire extinguisher, table cloths (3 enough?), propane, pile of mesquite that could be used for chickens if needed and a pile of dry crepe myrtle for general fire pit. Also picked up the first 2 cases of beer today but I'll see what is on sale in tomorrow's store ads before I buy the rest.

Question: Given the warm forecast, is the fire pit really needed? If I left it out I could fill up a couple more coolers with soft drinks and water - and of course MORE BEER.
I'll throw some extra folding chairs in as well.

I'd say no. But that's me. Since rain isn't really in the forecast, I may not set up the canopies. I'll make that decision that morning. Almost everything is loaded so I should be good.

Will do! I may make some jalapeno mac and cheese as well to go with the chicken, as it looks like the number of teams are a little slim this year. Either way, still excited about this weekend and am ready for a cold one

That sounds awesome. Come early and enjoy some breakfast. I'm making a casserole with hash browns, bacon, sausage, eggs and cheese. Should be good. I have some picante to go with it.

HOT SAUCE!!! That's what we need. Doesn't have to be murderous hot, just flavorful!

I'll grab some hot sauce this evening. I'm going to try to make it early. Buddy and I may squeeze in a golf game that morning, but we may reschedule.

Also, I'm not the pitmaster so I don't want to give the final okay, but I'm sure you can heat up the gorditas on the pit, bwssr. As long as we get first dibs
