The mass on his left side is nuts, I have one that's lopsided like that only the other side. Can't wait to check cards and see how he is growing.

I don't think I'll get to watch any velvet pics this year. Looking like my place just sold. They are hacking all the timber down right now. Just snagged the place last year, less than 5 miles from the house and now she no mo! Oh well, got a nice buck out of it and didn't pay anything.

yea I'm excited. Heck this deer wasn't even on my radar for this year. I was trying to get a few buddies on him last year as the big 7 with some extra brows.

His left beam is really heavy compared to the right beam. It will be interesting to see if he grow some nontypical stuff on that side. He is off to a good start.

Mine was a freak last year on that side, some sort of pedicle injury I'm guessing. It'll be cool to see how they turn out.

Nice bucks! Makes me want to put a couple cameras out, but I never can seem to find them this time of year. Seems like they don't move much and are pretty unpredictable about where they'll come into fields, etc.

I've got one more big tournament at the end of the month and I can go back to being a deer hunter instead of a fisherman. That said, I'm starting to get excited about deer season again! So who made it through last year? You had some hammer 3 and 4 year olds and several "tweeners". I go on days off on the 19th and have to make a Trinity Co run to move a box stand, hang a lock on, and feed the critters. I might make you ride with me. Word on the street is it can be dangerous to hang lock on's by yourself

Haha let's do it. I ain't hanging jack by myself ever again. I'm about 90% sure this is my big deer from last year I call Buddy. It's not medusa like I was thinking. I have no clue what happened to his left side though. He is 7.5 this year.

Yeah. Shrek got killed, went 164".

Yeah I went off a couple things with buddy. No ear cuts, but he does have a black muzzle, the white around his nose is is the same as last year as well as a big white spot up under his brisket. His right side is identical as his right side last year. He lays out of his head and that brow kicks in. Plus he had all that junk around his bases last year. First photo was him last year

I think you've got him pegged. What was that big one you hunted a few years back? He was a giant 8 the year before and then got kind of freaky on you the year you hunted him?

No doubt! We have really good neighbors at our place. One side used to not be but they all got kicked off and I know several of the guys on it now. We'll be able to share pics will all of our neighbors and not cringe every time we hear a shot now.

That's huge for out there, I know that's been a problem in the past.. start trying to get them to 6.5 when you can. Makes it's a lot more fun when you arnt on pins and needles all season. I'll be ready when you get back in town and we'll get after it

Must be nice to actually watch bucks grow all year, instead of having to cross your fingers Sept 1st they show up.
