Curious what everyone's favorite everyday or "walk around" lens is. I have a EF-S 17-55 f2.8 IS USM that stays on most of the time. I hate to take a big pack if we bring the kid somewhere, so it seems to get the job done most of the time.

I shoot Nikon, but mine is a 28-80 f3.3. It's a cheap plastic kit lens from the 90's that is razor sharp, super lightweight, and if something happened to it I can get another for $50! It stays on my full frame. On my Dx my walk around is a tamaron 18-270, it's a fairly sharp lens at all lengths and covers so many scenarios.

If I'm taking the 6D, the 24-105 F4 IS. If there's a possibility of needing a telephoto lens then its the Canon 100D with the 17-55 STM and 55-250 STM which together is still smaller than the 6D combo.
