    Another trailer build

We have about 8 flat beds in total with the smallest being a 16' bumper pull. So any time I need to take four wheeler or mower somewhere I always have a ton of room left over. So I decided to build me a 12.5' trailer.

It started as a cheap build but HD with 4" c channel frame instead of the common 2x3 angle iron used. And then I decided to make it a double axle and so on. In all the trailer cost in materials was approx $1400 but a comparable trailer from pj made of 4" hd channel is in the $2500 range. Took me 3 days on and of working on it to finish. I have to go get a tittle for it because it's a dual axle 7000# weight class.

I made the fenders from 11ga rolled steel and they came out pretty stout. The bracing in the floor is 2.5"x2.5"x.25" which allows for 1.5" boards to sit flush with the top of the c channel. The tailgate is 2x2 square tubing 11ga frame and 14ga center supports. And I decided since we had a bit of creosote (spelling?) lumber I'd go ahead and use that for the floor. Finished weight is 942lbs rounded up.

I'll get the finished pic on in a bit because I don't have one on my phone.

That is the handiest size. Tandem axle makes it so easy to pull and back.

I used sherwin Williams industrial and rustoleum primer.

I used 1" led marker lights on the sides, 6" leds in the rear and 2" rear side markers. I probably went over kill on the tires but it has a ton of ground clearance. 205-90-15
