Roll on, or spray on

I am painting my decks, and wondering what others have done.

Using a roller and brush, takes a lot of time to get in tight spaces. And I still have the big deck to do. I have spent many hours doing the prep work. So,

Has anyone used a handheld sprayer, like the wagner ... or even an airless rig. ??

If so, does it cover the deck good?

I am using PPG Flood, with a color added.

My rear deck is new, pressure treated, and is sucking the stain in to the point I will need to put a second coat on it.

We used a spray gun we hook to an air compressor but since the wood was treated we left the bottom unpainted to let it breath so it wouldn’t bow so bad.

Did you get a good enough coverage, on the first spray?

I bought one of the cheap hand pump spray rigs at home depot and did mine recently. Turned out really good. Only downside was I used a lot more stain than if I had rolled it on. But i got done in about half the time. I'll post pics in a minute.

I have a huge deck and have used a roller once. It wasn't very uniform in coverage. I have used a pump hand sprayer. Worked fair, but stopped up often. Bought a Wagner and it worked the best.
