Default Polaris Ranger Flatbed

Unfortunately a tornado flipped my buddyís Ranger a couple of times and tore up his bed. Iíve been wanting to build a flatbed for a while now. Thanks to Ramball36 and Palmetto, starting the process of building 2 beds.

Stay tuned!

I was going to build a tailgate extender because of how much I hate the tailgate of my Ranger but this might be a better option overall.

Turned out great.

What is the weight of the bed? Can you tell any difference in the way it rides or drives?

Forgive my ignorance....I have to ask...is the bolt in the receiver hitch there to lessen rattle? Or limit how deep it goes in?

Yes ~ best home improvement for a receiver hitch a guy can do. You can do it yourself with a drill on your existing receiver.

The bolt is there to limit the bounce of a feeder.

Good point, but it sure is easier to load and access items. The way I drive, I'd have everything scattered on the roads/trails lol. Very cool build though and would be perfect for those only using it for farm work like feed, spraying and such.

Great job! Only thing I would probably do different is add (2) stake pockets to each side to allow running some 2x6 or 2x8 sides. Chances are I would never use them but would like the option plus they give some lashing points. Either way I see a lot of usefulness of a flatbed vs. the traditional box.
