If this truck has the anti-skid control, have you tried to disable it? It's usually a button on the dash somewhere that looks like a car skidding.

If that doesn't wok,try engaging parking brake one or two clicks. Sometimes that will make the other wheel engage. Good luck.

I found that a rental with full insurance can be a very capable off road vehicle. Even if it is a Corolla.
