Hoping to get some help on a water well issue. Forgive my terminology as I was raised by an old east Texas fart whom used different words for many things.
We currently have a "dug" well out on our property. It was dug by my grandfather and his brothers in the 40s. The water source is great artesian water but unfortunately the ground has shifted the "well curbs" and we now have silt that fills the bottom of the well. Along with all that one of the curbs has cracked and the metal showing is rusted.
My question is, would it be a good idea to have a "driven" or "drilled" put into said current dug well then just backfill the well?
