For those of you who have hunted where there are black bears, what are y'all doing to keep your feeders from getting torn up? Do you have to hang them? This will be a new experience for me and my buddy says they're more destructive than hogs and will tear up everything.

So far (4yrs knock on wood) they haven’t torn up my tripods. The timer is at about 6.5 ft. That and a timer on my protein feeder.

Watched a show on tv this week
Bear cub climbed a tree slid dow the cable off a limb where feeder was hung
Pull the lid off and crawled inside.
And ate till the hunter show a pig
Climbed out, down and rambled off
