Alpine Taxidermy out of Fort Worth does some good work on cats, when I dropped my buck off a few weeks back I got to snoop around. if I ever shoot a pretty one it will be going there.
They did mine and I won't use them again. It's not good.
When I got my mountain lion I looked at a ton of pics. If out of state I was going to use Phil as someone mentioned above.
I’m glad Clay Wagner was still doing work when I needed it done.
He mentioned that cats don’t have as many mold sizes as whitetail so the face sizes almost never match up. The do molding and buildup on the stock molds to get the face right.
Call the taxidermist your thinking of and talk to them. Talk to a few of them and get a feel for them.
I don’t know why I’m pickier on cat mounts than others. I hate a fake looking face.
