I've thought about going this route, curious about the feed that falls under the feeder, which is usually a substantial amount. Are deer able to get to it, or will they?

Yes they will for some reason they actually prefer it and while they’ve got their head tucked up under it it’s a great time to get drawn

Good to hear that. I may go that route. I know some the ones made by companies add a corn shield. Probably wouldn't be hard to add. But most of the ones I've seen that are actually being used in the field don't have it. Thanks.

I haven’t had a issue with animals getting the corn from under mine, from pigs, deer, and aoudad. I don’t see the need for the corn shield

Before you take them down and stack them up, I would stake them down while in use to keep the hogs from turning them over.

You lay on your back and shimmy in under the barrel.
