Default Team Axis carne guisada?

Lets just jump in with both feet. This is our first Bownanza, and since we are travlin, I thought, well he!!, lets cook.I cook 100 lbs of axis carne every year for our 4h wildgame dinner. I am pretty much set up so why not bring it. Any and all advice will be appreciated.

If someone wants to help, this is what we will need
cubed axis meat. (we do not want to be butchering and trimming there). But, I can be responsible for the meat. no problem
Small serving bowls
spoons
paper towels....... Will think of more as time goes on

Give me some ideas. never been to a bownanza before

Looks awesome!!!

Check with the powers that be, I may be wrong but I do not think you can have an open fire in the park?

May have to figure out a fire pit or propane cook system that will handle that big cast iron pot.

Oooh, this sounds awesome!! Being a first timer myself, this team sounds very tempting to join. Wonder what the penalty is for de-committing from another team?!?:-)

I don't have any axis meat, but I have sharp knives and I'm willing to help out with the pre-cutting process. Shoot me a PM if I can lend a hand.

Got the PM, Mike. Count me in for however many tortillas (if you serve them) you need and a large package of disposable bowls. Again, let me know if you run short on hands needed for cutting.

Good luck with the axis killin'!

Sounds good, Mike. How many tortillas do we need? I plan on bringing both corn and flower. Just let me know how many you think we need. I'll also bring disposable bowls, spoons... And Beer!

Did you ever get a ruling on fire or propane? If fire it is, I have plenty mesquite.

We may get another hand if HogDude can make the trip. He said this team is right up his alley!

I have built a new propane cooker just for this event(sure hope it works:,). Take that mesquite wood and lite a fire under Hogdude LOL.....SWIG.....We'll take Him... Hmmmm, beer.... Pretty sure I'll be self sustainable in that dept, too.. I'll be in touch

I have some things to get done before I can commit, but I would be able to bring some Axis sausage for sure!!!

Just made about 10 lbs. Gunna see if is worth a crap here pretty quick!!!

I can whoop up another 20 lbs if I need too.

Does Axis sausage break every rule known to man, or what?????
