Entry level tripod head?

Is there such a thing or just suck it up and buy a good one?

I was trying to use my son's "gorilla pod" or whatever that flexible 3 leg thing is but not very good results unless you are going to have one shot and get it set up for that shot (no panning)

This works great, it's $70 something, and is the lightest one I've found at 2.2 lbs.

That is one of the ones I have been thinking about, probably go ahead and buy one and attach it to the tree arm I have up

Just bought a used bogen 3030 off of ebay for $35, that was one of the ones suggested on the TBH DVD so I bet it wil work

I own three of these. It's the whole tripod. One stays in each blind and I have another for when it's needed elsewhere. You don't have to spend a bunch. If it pans and tilts smoothly, it will work for videoing.
