Yeah it is. I think the deer finally started eating some protein though. Itís been pretty tough getting them started on it. Theyíve never seen a protein feeder or barely a feed pen on the ranch.

Few of our guys went down this past weekend to build blinds and fill feeders... spent the whole weekend working on ranch vehicles instead, always something. Getting excited about the upcoming season, still need to fully learn the new place but man the HuntStand app is a big help!

Pretty cool pic from this evening. We have been missing the rains lately but luckily have had a little this week. We needed it. This is a 6 yr old getting some grub in the rain.

Unbelievable. 50% chance of scattered showers today and had a system train over us and dump 5.5Ē. Who knows what to expect these days. Up around 24Ē or so on the year.

We put out ours this weekend. This was just what we had for Friday and Saturday. Looking forward to seeing the pics in two weeks. Deer look good for still having 2 more months of growing. Ranch is still fairly green. The deer have backed off the Protein a bit. Plenty of mesquite beans and Pear apples right now.

Our rain gauge showed we got another 4/10Ē last night. We have a camera at one or the feed stations with a rain gauge in view. Any rain this time of year is a blessing.

Headed down tomorrow, got some work to do on our Jeep and hopefully get trail cams going. Any reports on recent rains if any? I'm guessing it's pretty darn dry about now. We're off 2050 about 6 miles north of Bruni in Webb County. Really wish our cameras were already out but we are where we are.

Got back last night, ranch was DRY. All feeders up and running and cameras out at 6 stations. Had a ton of dove and quail which was nice, looking forward to September, hope we get some rain soon, one of our tanks was completely dry. Did see a nice 10 Saturday evening on road corn and the beer was cold
