Sounds like itís the place to be!! We are hunting with Shaun Allison of Exclusive Adventures. I brought my bow and will go to rifle if I canít make it happen. It is really cold so Iím wearing long johns and my Kuiu gear. Iím wondering if I didnít bring warm enough clothes??? Last night was first hunt and we saw quite a few animals but none in position to put a stalk on. Who are yíall hunting with?

I am with Shane Quinn (Alpine Outfitting) the SCI Outfitter of the Year in 2017. We are all using different outfitters but the archery success rates for each is really high. Keep us in the loop as you can...……..you really got me concerned with the temperature issues...……...the wife & daughter are in tow with me!!! Sling those arrows (or lead) and enjoy the time away from this HEAT!!!

Wine tasting was success, came away with a lot of bottles and feeling really really good.

Dinner at Botswana butchery last night was fantastic. Oysters, red deer and rabbit was all great

Good luck on the rest of your hunt Lance.

Yes Rob got another great stag.

We are leaving Queenstown and headed to Auckland, really looking forward to some warmer weather there. It has been cold this past week or so.

I connected on good stag last night and Henry connected on a great stag this morning. He made a great stalk and great shot across a canyon. Really amazing how rough this country is. I am going tahr hunting in the morning and taking the family with me in the helicopter. Just to clarify, I am not shooting from the chopper, just giving us a lift to the top!

Land Rover, the weather warmed up yesterday and today, not nearly as cold as Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
I was going to try a live hunt but have difficulty downloading pics. Will do a write up when I get home.

So I did the tahr hunt this morning. Amazing is all I can say!!! Then we came back and Henry shot a ram this afternoon and I shot another great stag. Tomorrow we head back to Queenstown for a few days then up the west coast. I’ll post pics and story when we get back on the 17th. Weather has been cold but the sunny days have made it wonderful! Dress in layers and you’ll be fine. Good luck!

Rob is just getting back also. He has been on TBH over a year but still a "nubbin"........lol.. He spends all his time bowhunting around the globe.....so we could give him a pass......NOT!!! His wife did not score on this trip but she is the real deal with her bow also.
