Holy cow! This stuff is awesome!

Bought a pressure cooker, and decided to try this recipe. Cut some pork into 1" cubes and browned in oil with salt and black pepper. Will leave the salt out next time, as I think the fiesta has enough.

Added the 2 cups of water, rough diced onion, a can of Rotel, and 1 whole serrano pepper then pressure cooked for 15 minutes. I had never pressure cooked before, and I think you could go a lot less time than that, as the pork was pretty much falling apart.

Took cooker off the heat and let sit for a few minutes. Couldn't stand waiting, as I wanted to eat before we left to meet friends, so I cooled the cooker in the sink.

Opened pot and added the 5 tbls. Of fiesta. Simmered it as described, with lid off, and it wasn't thickening as much as I wanted. I ended up adding 2 more tablespoons of fiesta trying to get it thicker. Note: it will thicken some when it cools.

Next time, I will probably use the 5 tablespoons of fiesta, maybe 6. I will also try to shorten my time on the meat, and pressure cook a few more minutes after adding the fiesta. I'm thinking a little bit of corn starch would get me the gravy consistency I was looking for.

Seriously guys, if you haven't tried this, it is way well worth it.

Ok, time to heat the left overs.

It's Fiesta seasoning, here they have separated all of the Fiesta seasonings from the rest. It's not even on the same side of the store as the other seasoning.

Yup. If I can find it here, I sure hope you can find it there . It's in the Mexican section of Walmart here. Whole section of their brand here.

Thanks I will look again. I can find a bunch of their spices (beans, fajitas, etc.)just not that one.

Have made this quite a few times and now the wife want's me to make it all the time. She even set the crockpot out the other day hinting. I tried putting some green chili's in it and now I use two bigger cans of them in it and man it makes it even better. My mom came down and said it smelled just like the pork green chili she used to get when she lived in Denver.

Just started my first crack at this. Browned up 3.5 lbs of Javi and now in the crock pot on low until dinner. (And no, the Javi does not smell or taste bad... it honestly tastes like beef.) Yep... cooking up the Javi from my javitar

It is good, and easy. Fiesta Brand spanish rice seasoning is pretty easy and pretty good too. Goes good with the carne g.

Tried this with some pork butt I had cubed up and need to use. It doesn't look like typical beef carne guisada but it **** sure was good.

Made this yesterday, it’s good stuff. Added a jalapeŮo, green chili’s and an onion. Think I’ll add some of the seasoning when I start it next time. The sauce was great but it didn’t penetrate the meat very much.

Looks great! So you are adding the seasoning up front? How long are you cooking it for? I've cooked it several times now using the directions on the bottle and its always a big hit.

Iím cooking this in a cast iron skillet over a fire tomorrow evening. I usually use a cowboy wok so be interesting to see how it goes. Hopefully it turns out just as good.
