Headed out now. Thanks to Tim for offering up this Auction Hunt. My phone crashed on the way here so I'll be using my Ipad to take pictures. I'll post up when I get back from the Stand.

Ok IPad working in blind. Hot as crap lol. Sweat is dripping off my nose. Tim has a nice place here and some good bucks on camera. I brought my son with me to shoot something also.

They didn't like Buckchasers pop-up. They tried coming in 3 times but kept running off.

At blind #2 we had 5 doe, two 8 pointers, a decent 10 and a 4 pointer all within 25 yards. After 40 minutes or so one of the bucks snorted and caused a stampede. Didn't see what Landon wanted to shoot. Was trying to get a BIG management buck.

Trying again early in the morning. Going to sit in a Krivoman to keep scent down so hopefully we see more deer.

Rick still hunting. We came back after the wind shifted 180 on us. Had a 4 point close all morning. Then a few doe. Had one really nice 8 come in that I told him he could shoot and both of us instantly got buck fever. He circled around back and forth at 30-50 yards but never gave a shot. We could see 3 other bucks out the the field maybe 250 yards away all morning long. I think they're feeding on new grass growth.

This one got to 30 yards. He's a regular. Trying again here in a few for him.

This one is a target also.

Full moon, hot, acorns dropping, persimmon berries not gone yet, and fresh growth after our first rains are making things difficult. But we will get it done!

Patience pays off. Man it was the hardest hunting I've seen since I bought the ranch. Then out of nowhere we had deer running all over the place. Landon and I saw roughly 30 different deer. At least 3 were shooters for him.

I will let Rick and Landon tell their stories. We both had great hunts. Congrats to the new bowhunter getting his first kill!

This is Landon, we sat in the blind for a while waiting for the right buck, the one I had seen this morning. Later on in the evening i saw a buck in the pasture a little ways away from us. We were pretty sure it was him. He grazed for about 10-15 minutes then exploded straight towards us. He ran right into about 15 yards. We had deer all around our stand so we had to ease a window closed just to get a draw on him without being seen by the deer at 3 yards. I drew down and whack.....my bow bounced off my knee on release. I couldn't believe it, I missed. Well it was short lived because a 10 point ran up right up into the same exact spot. So I nocked another arrow and let it fly. I was pretty sure I smoked him, bright red blood with no funky smell. But that sucker ran 275 yards. I hit him a little back, but a dead deer is a dead deer. My dad will post up a pic. Thanks for following along guys.

Yesterday evening I hunted a short ladder stand. At 6:15 bucks started coming out of the woods. I had deer all around me and under my stand. Was the opposite of yesterday. Had a couple nice bucks. The one I wanted took forever to get in position. I took a 30 yard shot and he ducked my arrow. Clean miss.

This morning I chose the same stand. Since I wanted a good one I passed on several just waiting. Pretty late around 9:30 a nice 10 came in. He hung around for 20 minutes but wouldn't come within 30 yards for a shot. Still a good hunt.

Tim let us extend the hunt since I didn't get one yet. But have to be back at work in the morning. Going to be a late night. In a hurry to get back in the same blind. Wish me luck.

Yes. We had an 8 point about 3 yards from my face out the back window along with 4 doe at 8-12 yards. a 4 point out the front window. Then the big 8 out the left window. After a clean miss on the 8 (I saw the deer run and then start walking back) it took 2 minutes for the 10 to take the 8s place. Talk about a rush. Wasn't much of a blood trail and that had me worried. If it entered the woods I was going to call for a dog.

Rough score was 122" and looks to be a 4.5 yo I have the shot on video.

Link in post 34 should show the video.

If someone could imbed it in the thread that would be awesome.
