That's the first time I've seen those. I think the noise I'm hearing now is an armadillo. We'll see!

Pigs down by the road. Hopefully headed my way. Lots of grunting and squealing. They close.

I moved my climber across the creek to take advantage of the west wind the weather channel promised for tonight. Judging as how my breath smoke is headed north, I can tell I have been lied to again! Hoping for the best!

Arrow launched. Shot was a little far back and he ran off with my arrow. Sitting tight.

Well, the replay in my mind says I screwed the pooch! Bottom line, I rushed the shot and am less one arrow, broadhead, and nocternal.

It was one of the ones in the new sounder that showed up probably around 80 pounds. I watched my nocternal run across the county road. I'm not sure if I'll go look for him today.

Text the guy who owns the land across the road to make sure it was ok to go look for my arrow and pig. Looked around in the thick stuff for almost an hour with no luck. I'll watch for buzzards, but I'm not holding my breath. Thought about going tonight, but the wind was supposed to be wrong for the new spot. Could have hunted the stand at the back, but phone was almost dead and I didn't have my ducks in a row.

Good luck Tex and hogdude!
Well, I need to learn to judge size and distance better in the dark. My 70# hog that ran over 200 yards and crossed the road, was actually more like a 50# pig that ran about 70 yards and never made it to the other side of the creek much less the road. Buzzards helped me find her today and my nocternal was still on, just pushed down against the ground. Not sure what I hit, but it f'd up the blades of my hypo and they didn't deploy completely. Going to put out some corn and check cameras, may sit in the stand at the back for a while tonight. Got a beaver I'm adding to the growing hit list.

Default hog hunt this friday 1-26-18

I have a few friends in from Wisconsin. We will be hunting on my property in Crosby, Tx. I have tons of hogs. I have been feeding them all week. So friday night is the night. We'll see how good these guys can do with night vision and Ar's.

Got eeeem! Pig ran 20 yards and piled up!

LDP

Iíll post footage ASAP...this is my spooky boar Iíve been after. Didnít use the bow light as heís boogered at it. Eased the feeder light up to high power with the remote. He was in and out. Usually feeds right on edge of light. Thatís where I shot him.

Congrats hogdude! I'm out. Gonna try to set up another stand on the west side of the creek, opposite the climber I used Tuesday night. That's kind of a funnel, but the wind is usually not as favorable as it was Tuesday night on the east side. Weather channel told me the wind was going to be SSE tonight, so I hunted the back stand, which as of now is the only stand good for that wind. My breath smoke says the wind was blowing out of the SW tonight and the climber would have been better. I think I'm going to have to move the beavers up on the hit list. Pretty sure that's what I heard rustling tonight, and it sounds like more than 1. Squealing pigs never came any closer.
