Default Cheap Water Barrel/Drums???

Where can I find some cheap plastic food grade 55 gal drums in FW area?

Going to be used hauling water for showers and drinking. Don't really trust the craigslisters "all it had was aloe vera in it"....

Or cheap plastic tanks under $100?

Thanks

I am not close, but have a bunch of them for free. These are plastic barrels, 55 gallon and had food grade cleaners in them. They would need to be rinsed out but other than that, they're are safe. If anyone needs any plastic 55 gallon drums and in the Yoakum, TX area send me a pm. I bet I have 30 barrels right now and will give them away.

I can add that I have bought from the Fort Worth craiglister you mention. Had a good experience with him. Seems to present no reason to distrust.

I've purchased 2 steel and 2 plastic over a couple years. One plastic 35 gal had a sealed bung. I've torn off the seal to get to the cap and it actually still smells like fruit juice concentrate.

Drop me a line if you want to take a look. Can meet in SW Arlington.

I've bought a bunch of blue barrels from a guy in Newark. He advertises on FB Marketplace.

The closed top ones I've bought had something fruity in them.
Bought some open top ones that had hot sauce in them. Didn't take much to get the residue out of those ones

If you have a structure, I HIGHLY recommend harvesting rain water/setting up a cistern for showers and dishes.

I hauled water for years, its a pain in the ***** and gets old quick!

Its for our family cabin in New Mexico. There is a well for campers that we haul from and pay $10 a 55 gal drum. The problem we have run into with collecting rain water in the past is when it freezes during the winter it bursts our drums. We mainly go up only from spring to fall.

I had 3 for sell that I plumbed just for camp water. Price also included a pump. They are all close by now - one here and 2 + pump in OK
