I mean I understand what you’re saying but the original True Grit is one of my favorite Westerns ever. Certainly better than the terrible remake

I’ll take Bridges over Wayne. The acting, writing, story and cinematography were better on the remake. Wayne was a complete ham in that movie. It was like Foghorn Leghorn playing the part.

Yep, I cannot imagine getting enjoyment from watching disgusting filthy people do their disgusting filthy things, leading useless evil lives. Only redeeming factor is I believe they all ( or most ) die.....( It has been quite a few yrs since I have seen it, memory is a bit vague )




This one was just stupid and pointless. My ( estranged ) wife thinks its hilarious. I just dont get it.

Both great movies and that’s why there called movies. I would be curious to here your top 5.

I found out 2 things I didn't know existed.
1. There is 1 person that doesn't like Lonesome Dove
2. There are a couple of people that don't like any John Wayne movies

This, then again there are people who like walking into glass doors, spilling hott coffee on themselves, gum in there hair and stepping on nails barefoot so who knows.

Im not a big movie person so I dont think I can come up with 5. After thinking a bit, in no particular order....I have liked The Cowboys ever since I was a kid. Lonesome Dove was great. Forrest Gump for sure. Saving Private Ryan was first class, though it made me sad.

Anything with pointless violence and drug use is a major turn off. Violence for a purpose, good vs evil type stuff is more my style.

Tank 432... absolute worst movie ever made. Spectral was a close second.

Some of these choices really surprise me. Lots of them are what I would call great movies.

Cool as Ice, I loved it when I was a kid. But watched it recently and man it was bad. But Vanilla Ice on a GSXR, with the flashy jacket and the whole rebel attitude. I wanted to be that when I grew up, what the heck was I thinking.
