My Kona Jake the Snake finally arrived today. It will be assembled today and tomorrow we will fit it. I look forward to getting this bad boy out on the road and trail!

It's a cyclocross bike. It's basically a road bike with the front forks large enough to allow a tire that is bigger for trail or gravel grinders. It has disk brakes and 22 speeds and will set you back a cool $1700.00 without accessories. I spent an extra $500 on clipless pedals, shoes, 2 spare tubes, helmet, riding bibs, co2 cartridges, multiple tool, etc etc etc.

I can't wait to ride but I will only be riding once a week until my marathon on October 18th and then I start training for Ironman and the DK200.

I may take a few leisure rides during the week but Sunday afternoons will be my cross training and I will use the bike for that.
