I attach cable with big loop on end. Run cable around small trees and run the trap back through loop. Don't have k anchor to ground. Love how they work.

I do the same. 10’ cables on my traps. Any tree is an anchor.

I always used a plow sweep. If they could drag it a little they would not chew their leg off. The sweep will get hung up after a short ways.
