It will be a Form 1, with custom parts.A little more entailed than the off the shelf solvent trap parts.

Gotcha, I am always skeptical when I hear that, but I have heard some amazing form 1 cans! I am always amazed by the skills of some folks. Looking forward to seeing and hearing it. [emoji869]

This vid is horrible quality but is one of my 6.5s. Full power Hornady Match 140s.

I don’t think I could have said it any better. I gave one pistol can away, and sold my other two. I ever turned down two free pistol cans just cause I didn’t want to pay the stamp on them. I try not to give negative reviews of any can regardless what my opinion is if them. People will tend to think I’m biased towards the can that has supported me, when I’m reality I’m biased towards the can I’ve supported. I still don’t back their pistol can for the simple fact I don’t like pistol cans. I just don’t have enough experience either way since they don’t interest me in the least.

I will say that my 10 inch .556 SBR is one of the most unpleasant guns to shoot without a suppressor. Suppressed with no ear pro it is a pleasing sound. When I hunt, I love to hear the impact on the animal with a suppressor. Are 6.5 and similar rounds still loud, yes. However, it is a pleasing tone imo with the right can and you will not have ringing ears. The final thing I will say is that you should hear as many in person as you can. The different materials and construction mean that the tone is not the same even if DB reduction is exactly the same. Also, YouTube vids just dont cut it. If you want Hollywood buy a bolt action .22, a suppressor and sub sonic rounds.

No joke. When I’m hunting I pull my beanie over my ears and even from blind in deep timber with a 7mm-08 my ears don’t ring at all. And no tax or waiting for stupid permission necessary.

I Picked up a 6.5 CM off here a while back, and with a brake on it, ITS VERY LOUD. Even standing behind my buddy while he was shooting it, I felt the blast on my legs and arms. I’ve never shot a large bore rifle with a can, so how quite can they be? I’ve watched lots of you tube stuff, but it’s not the same as being there. I’m sure the 300 BO with subs do really well, but can you really quiten down a 300 WM?
You’re asking how quiet (look how that’s spelled) OUR suppressors are. That means you’re asking the wrong question. You’re about to build a Form 1 can. It might suck. That doesn’t mean our suppressors suck. Maybe yours will be good. Who knows.

Every time I hit a hog with my 6.5 Grendel SBR and DeadAir Sandman Ti, I hear a thump like a Louisville slugger smacking a watermelon. It’s “quite” pleasing!!

So, do you shoot with a can? Or, are you saying that you don’t shoot with one and full power rounds don’t bother your ears?

Interesting info about how much suppressors actually reduce noise.

Yes, with a decent suppressor full power loads sound more like compressed air being let out of a pipe. Its a short sharp pusssSShhhhTTTT not a bang. If you have things around you the sound can bounce back/reflect back at you.

Unless the firearm is internally suppressed they can be unwieldly with the added length and weight. I agree with CF handguns not being all that suppressed.

If you are talking unsuppressed, you are kidding yourself if you don’t think you are damaging your hearing.

One of the best parts about suppressors is they distort the sound enough that it’s very hard to pinpoint the direction it’s coming from. Animals get confused after a shot, and usually give you enough time for follow up shots. On hogs this is very beneficial when you can kill as many as time and ammo will allow.

Shooting suppressed with almost anything is 100x’s more enjoyable then shooting unsuppressed

That’s odd. All of my Crux suppressors work great and sound great as well.

Sell yours to me at a price I can’t refuse. [emoji16]
