    1st knife in a month

Felt good to get in my shop yesterday. I've been out in Midland / Odessa a month. I made this little EDC yesterday; 6 1/2 OAL cutting edge is 2 7/8, 416 layers of Alabama Damascus acrylic pine cone handle. I'm back up on custom orders as normally am, but it felt good to just do what I wanted to.

The addiction is bad. What were the withdrawal symptoms?

Oh, cool knife. Love that handle material.

I don't have withdrawals anymore, been making knives for over 20 years and sometimes I just have to get away. I don't ever want to lose the love of making knives. About four or five years ago I took on so much work that making knives was a chore trying to keep up with my orders. Last year I took off almost 4 months to fish. I'm heading tomorrow to my lake house at PK to do some night fishing until Fathers Day.
Then I'm back at it again.

Thanks all for the nice words; I do appreciate it.

I hear ya. I'm starting to get a hankering to head up to my brothers place at Kiowa and ketch some of his pets off his dock.
It only takes a couple of them 5-6 lb whisker fish to make me a good mess.
Right now a dollars worth of cheap hot dogs will bout fill my cooler with good eaters. Bang on the dock poles a few times and they come to dinner.

Looks great as most all of your knives do...I was wondering where you were hiding.
