We'll it's official today I paid for a bear tag for me and a youth elk license for my son. We leave 4 weeks from today. Starting to get excited! What are something people like to have in their packs? Just curious.

No idea from me for hunting Colorado, definitely a dream of mine though. Went there for vacation last year and loved it. I'm super jealous good luck and take us along with you

Game bags, rain gear, water bladder, gps, couple cheap lighters, and head lamps.

A good attitude and a lot of luck. Hopefully it starts to cool down here soon.

No problem with a good attitude just being up in the mountain air is refreshing. Also can't wait for some nicer temps.

Colorado is absolutely beautiful. But seriously. Start breathing exercises now. It is HARD to breathe above 9000ft. Didn't draw a tag this year but I will likely be up for otc archery and at least one rifle season. Even if its an otc 2nd again.

Take a good rod and enjoy some fresh trout for lunch.

If you don’t mind me asking: what do you mean by breathing exercises?

Leave in 7.5 weeks for WY elk hunt in which our base camp is at 9,800’.

I’m interested in this too. The elevation whooped me last year.

Get in shape. Stair Stepper, bleachers, incline treadmill, whatever.

Not sure what breathing exercises are going to do for you unless you go into labor!
