My main income is hunts and we are setting up for breeding more exotics. Mostly scimitar and blesbok. Also working on building a Christmas tree farm. This time of year is always slow for us. Mostly save up to make it through March and until May. Repairs, planting and scouting for the upcoming axis hunts. Then I'm also planting trees, darting a few animals for live sale, maybe going to a hunting expo or two if I get a chance. I will gather a few antler sheds and sell them. I get about $12/lb depending on the condition and of they are 1" diameter or larger a few inches above the burr. Mostly axis antlers.

I go to Vegas and other casinos to try and make extra money. After losses and travel I cleared a lot more than expected. Rooms and meals are comped.

Mow lawns. My brother and I make great money at it and you can take off during hunting season!
but seriously we make around $40-45 per hour each on most of our jobs. We run good size zero turns and have the rest of basic equipment and do very well. We knock yards out after work during the week and on saturdays as well.

Paying off debt and saving on interest is one of the best money makers. I try to only work OT in the offseason. But every year when deer season rolls around, the project ramps up and they need you. Never fails.Comment
