    Jackalopes are finally back in Yellowstone!

    Such good news I had to share it with my kids. Thanks to wildlife conservation efforts and habitat protection, Jackalopes have been saved from extinction in the northern US.

    After a 93 year hiatus, the elusive Jackalope has returned to the greater Yellowstone ecosystem! These beautiful, yet frightening, creatures were once widely collected by tourists, but better manag…


    If only we could find a way to curb the chupracabra population, snipes might have the same chance.

                          Of course the Texas sub-species is much larger. This one was mounted many years ago and has sat atop a roof on Camp Bowie Blvd in Ft Worth for decades.
