Up in Cody Wyoming there is a monument and small museum for Liver Eating Johnson. It’s near the Rodeo grounds.

Just read the intro to that book(free sample). Basically says the book is made up and glorified by the author that was writing Jim Bowe stories and other western style books. Most has been proven since then not to have happened.

I'm still interested in the book though. Thinking about buying it. The free sample didn't give me past the intro, so I didn't read any of the actual book.

The movie is classic.

Crow Killer is a great book ( have it in my office as we speak) and gives you whole new perspective on Mr. Johnson. The first movie was great ( mostly for the scenery) but I really wish Hollywood would remake it and hold a little closer to the book. Now THAT would be a great movie.

I love Will Geer and his characters he plays. But his real life story is interesting to say the least.

Have a book about John Colter that's a good read. He is from the Lewis & Clark expedition and is really considered the 1st of the "mountain men".

One of the few movies I can watch over and over again, much to the dismay of my darling wife.

God bless and happy hunting.

Hollywood woud F-up the movie big time. They's show the white man's oppression and somehow create a narrative on the misunderstood suppressed gay Indian population that was taboo to speak about at the time.
