Default Semi-Live Mule Deer Hunt in Hermosillo

I am on my first flight of the day down to Hermosillo for a 2 buck hunt over the next week. I am hunting with Priority Outfitting Service. I will try and update as time and service allows.

Good luck. They have a first class operation. You wonít be disappointed from what Iíve heard and seen. The place we go is all free range and a little cheaper but from what I have seen, POS quality of animals is superior! Post lots of pics when you can and have a great time.

I knew they offered both and I wasn't trying to insinuate one way or the other. Heck if I was going down there to hunt 2 deer, I might be tempted to do both. I am pumped for you. The desert around Hermosillo is a special special place. Best of luck and I look forward to following along. I think the 226" deer they killed last week was on the low fence but not 100%. As far as I am concerned, they are the #1 desert Mule Deer operation right now.........by a fairly large margin from what I am seeing. Are you bow or rifle hunting? Or both?

Not a thing wrong with rifle hunting these big mexico muleys! Hunter was the net man on our DMP capture back at Thanksgiving and his dad was the pilot. He definitely got a deer of a lifetime. Here is to hoping you do the same!

Last flight to Hermosillo. Probably won’t make it to the ranch in time to hunt the full afternoon, probably just check rifles and make a quick round to see what we see. Only about 90 other hunters on this flight, so lots of paperwork to check.

First day is in the books. Saw about 18 bucks in two hours of driving. Only 4-5 good bucks with the top one being 170 or so. Unfortunately he was only 4.

Optimistic about tomorrow. Will post some pics tomorrow.

Back from the am hunt. Saw another 15 bucks with 4 over 170. Only one was a shooter, but he slipped away. It is hot (85 degrees). More to come this evening...

How far out of Hermosillo are you guys hunting? Close to Sea of Cortez? Keep after it. You have seen a good number of bucks so far it sounds like. With the rut going full bore, it could happen anytime!

We are about 80-100 km North of Hermosillo headed on the highway to Nogales. We have seen lots of bucks and some shooters. One buck was killed this afternoon by another hunter. Not the highest scoring buck, but he was unique and lots of character points and kickers.

My service sucks down here, so uploading pics is tough. More to come in the am.

Well..... we got it done.

I killed a management buck yesterday evening and my trophy this am.

This hunt was harder than I expected in terms of terrain, visibility and the time to make a shot. We made a quick call on my trophy this am. No regrets, but I am sure there are bigger bucks. I am already booked for next year. Better pics when I get back
