If the breeding took I should have a litter of lacys coming here in a couple months. She appears to be swelling already so I'm pretty sure it took.
Registered lacys $500
dad is an excellent tracker (red color)
mom is the family pet now days (tri color)

Last litter i had with this pair turned out to be great trackers and 3 good cow dogs

Are these Heeler looking dogs with the white eyes genetically good for tracking? We had one show up at our place about 2 months ago with the solid white eyes. He was skiddish up until a few weeks ago. We can finally play with him. He had a collar on with no ID tags, that was too tight and getting into his skin. He's been here ever since. If someone wants him, I can take pics. We have enough animals, but I'm not gonna watch him get neglected either. Sweet disposition. Still got his hangers between his hind legs. Docked tail.

Wow, that dog's coat is the splitting image of my Patsy. As mentioned, looks like a catahoula. Good dogs.

Got the book in today and have been skipping around reading different chapters, the book is very detailed and informative. I have lots of work to do at the lease this weekend and I hope I get it all done on saturday. I am going to try and get a liver blood trail done on Sunday and see how my pup will do. I only have one bottle of Deer blood so I will save that for a little later on in his training. Iím liking this book so far, definitely worth the money!! Name: IMG_0976.jpg

Hey guys, I know its getting a ways past the end of last deer season, but I've got a pup that I'd like to work with this summer. Anyone out there have some deer blood & or hide? I'd happily throw a few $$ in and a hell of a lot of appreciation. Thanks, CD

I posted a while back about getting a dog to get into tracking with. As life goes sometimes things didnít workout the way I planned. Instead of being able to move further away from the city Iím somewhat being forced to stay in town for work and get a house with a normal suburban yard.
My dilemma is this.
Do I still get a dog for tracking (catahoula, lacy, etc.) or wait until I have more room for the dog to roam on a daily basis? Iíd love to have a lacy pup but what I wouldnít love is a miserable dog that tears up everything. Iíve never owned a lacy or been around one so I donít know much about the breed, but that is the direction I plan to go in. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Do not get a working dog if you don't have the room for them. They need constant exercise and room to run burn off energy ECT. They are very high energy and high drive especially the lacys. My catahoula gets in several miles a day and still drives me crazy wanting to play. She is starting to calm down some and getting a little lazy.

I think you can still get a good dog and train it how you want I just wouldn't get an big working breed. I can admit I'm not active enough to keep up with mine!! 150 acres and a mule is the only way I can wear her out! research different breeds and talk to Sika and some others about lacys and see their thoughts.
