All are a waste of money.

Most all lasers have hold functions now they aren't left on.

I think a jammer is illegal in Texas if you get caught with it. I just use an escort.

            you can't outsmart the police

drive 2-5 mph over the limit on certain roads/hwys and you'll be fine

FTR, I have owned them all ... escort, passport, valentine , etc... and strictly adhere to the speed limit

It is illegal. Typically they cost a lot of money as well. Instant on radar pretty much ended the efficacy of radar detectors.

There used to be a company several years ago that made a system that included sensors in the bumpers. They would pay any tickets if you were caught speeding. Can't remember the name though.

I think he was referring to a different type of escort.

According to if she gets her money for the dinner or services rendered later.

I don't know if it's legal or not. However, there used to be a few youtube videos on laser jammers. Actually, I think some of the videos were done on the Westpark tollway. Note, these were custom installs as the sensor bars or whatever they are called had to be mounted on both the front and rear of the vehicles. This was a laser jamming system, not a radar detector.

FTR, I used to own an escort 8500. Quit using it a few years ago as all the cops inside the beltway of Houston use laser technology. I don't care what you have whether it's an escort, Valentine, etc, they don't work worth a flip on detecting laser signal. The reason being is laser doesn't bounce around off objects like a microwave radar signal; which allows for easier detection. Whenever the detector picks up the laser signal, it's being pointed directly at your vehicle; obviously, which is too late.

With that said, if your area LEO's still use K or KA band radar, by all means, the escort or Valentine one will work just fine; that is unless you are the first vehicle they shoot the signal at.
