Mothers day eating out thread?

Did I miss the "Where are you taking your mother/wife out to eat for Mothers Day?" thread?


No way! It's too crowded and we never want to wait for a table that long.


Well I made reservations 6 months ago because I think ahead.


It's worth the wait because I get to spend extra time with my wife.


We eat at this certain place every year and it's the best! But can't make it this year because we're out of State.

We're grilling chicken and sides of potato salad and macaroni salad. My daughter and MIL will be over so an adequate supply of beer is on hand.

I offered to have everyone over and grill today but it actually puts more of a burden on the wife to clean the house, let alone all the dirty dishes and then getting the place back in order afterwards.

Not us. We’ve made it a tradition that my FIL, son and I cook for the moms (my wife, mother and MIl). This year it’s fresh caught fried catfish and shrimp. Last year was ribeyes and all the fixings. Always let them put their heads together and picknthe menu.
