Yep: They are bumble bees. If they make honey, I don't know anything about it. All I have seen them do is make more bees.

Any suggestion on how to get rid of them other than fire crackers and tennis rackets? We have an open garage and they love to bore holes in the rafters. Besides making a huge mess my wife is highly alergic to bee stings? I have tried spraying the rafters with insecticide, hanging dryer sheets around the garage and a couple of other things but they keep coming back
