Knocked down hog for first bow kill!

Went hog hunting yesterday evening. After a month or so of getting my bow the way I wanted I had gone hunting about three-four times without any luck. Yesterday evening my luck changed. I was sitting in a pop-up and kept hearing the hogs in the woods. Nothing was coming out, though. I got out of the blind and started down a right-of-way (ROW) towards the sound of the hogs. Eventually one crossed the ROW about 50 yards in front of me. I moved up another 10 yards and waited. To my surprise there were 3 hogs to my right, about 20 yards away and heading towards me. I watched them, one headed towards my shooting lane, drew back on him, and WHACK.....PIG DOWN!!! lol

Sorry for the long story but after several unsuccessful hunts I'm pretty pumped to post about my first bow kill on the GS.

I would have taken pics if I hadn't been in such a hurry after work and forgotten my camera.

Yea I was ticked off at myself for forgetting the camera. Tried to take one with my crappy phone and a flashlight and that didn't work either.

I have that happen often where I hear them about 50-100 yards away but they never do come to the feeder.

Congrats! It is aggravating when you can hear them and they never show. The best pig spot on my lease is near our property line, so I always have to sit tight and wait 'em out. Gotta love the spot and stalk!
