Default Eldorado,Texas - Turkey Action?

Heading down there Thur night and was wondering how the activity was? Also, do they prefer slate calls or mouth calls? Thanx for the help.

We are just north of you and the report is they are starting to slow down from being unbelievably hot the first two weekends.

Each turkey is different. They like what they like. I use a slate mostly and a mouth call when they get very close. On the other hand my buddy is strictly a box call user and he had good success as well.

I hunt in Eldorado. I think everyone on our lease that hunts them got one this season. I know a guy that takes clients hunting too, and he's had a great season so far.
