    Keep or toss it

My neighbors deep freeze went out yesterday and he stumbled upon entire back strap from a deer he shot 2 years ago. It’s completely frozen and has been vacuumed sealed.
He asked me if I wanted it, I said yes. But now I’m wondering if it’s too old.

So, I got a backstrap that’s been vacuum sealed and frozen for two years. What say you?

                  Most likely fine to eat

If it isn't, mix it in with your dog's kibble.

I found vacuum packed elk from 4 years ago in my freezer. I was skeptical until I started cooking it. It was perfect!

as long as it was handled properly and frozen wont be an issue
