Stolle Deer Camp Work Weekend 2017

Seems like we spend most weekends throw out the year hunting axis and we have to plan one weekend out of the year to get big projects done. So this past weekend was the big work weekend. 8 of us really knocked out the chores in the skinning shed and met with a contractor to get a quote to add 2 bedrooms to the cabin.

I'll let the pictures do most of the talking!

Friday morning we were all set to get started.

Greg and GJ tackled the restroom. Finished up the trim and got the sink installed.

Mark and John Mark worked on covering and trimming out the walls with old cedar fence pickets.

I took on the rock hearth for the wood stove.

Slower going than I expected. I got to this point on Friday.

I finished up the walls on Saturday morning then the floor on Saturday afternoon.

We did not have a plan for the counter top until Friday when we decided to pour a concrete top in place. GJ and Ryan did a great job.

All we lack are doors on the cabinets in the above picture.

The crew relaxing and admiring the their accomplishments. Oh and drinking beer.

A little preview of the next project.

Very nice!! Ranch "progress" is addicting and fun! 11 years later......and the projects haven't slowed down one bit for us!

Great improvements! Looks like you are still having a blast!
