New Chapter in Life! RETIREMENT!!

Starting retirement this morning sitting on a levee in a ricefield!
Was trying to make 40 years ,but 39 years, 5 months and 8 days is good enough.
Boss came to me yesterday and told me they were consolidating some jobs and wanted me to learn new systems and jobs. Told them thank you for the oppurtunity and job I had, but time for me to go. I may do some odd jobs etc , but will be at my time . More later, it is shooting time!

Those poor spoonies and snowgeese[emoji23][emoji23]......and teal for the next few weeks.

I've got 8 yrs 4 months to go. Then I'll be free to spend maximum time with young son who will be 15 years 8 months old. Like most, I'll still work. It will be on my terms on the projects I've got interest or passion for.

THANKS Everybody!! Congrats to all the others there already. My wife has been telling me to do it for awhile. Was trying to get to 40 just to say I did. Yesterday sealed the deal. I'm ready to hunt, fish, work at ranch & whatever else I want to do when I want to do it. I will stay busy, just my choice of what. Never have been able to sit long. It turned out to be a GREAT day hunting! Not much killing,but hunting was fabulous!! Watched the sun come up to a Beautiful sunrise & Thanked the Lord for Everthing he has bestowed upon me. I sat with my chessie and enjoyed it all. This is her 1st hunting season & I will be able to devote lots of time to her now. She just got out of training about a month ago & already impressing me for a young dog.
