Wow! What a rollercoaster ride for you guys and Emmett...and us also! Prayers continue for his continued progress and finally a ride home from the hospital.

Day 54 update. This might be a boring update, but let me just say, boring is good! Emmett is rocking and rolling right now. Feeds are going great. Oxygen is down to 29%. We are a mere grams away from hitting 4 lbs! They are going to reduce his rate from 7 to 6 tomorrow on the bubble CPAP. When we get to 5 they will start thinking about switching him to cannula. This will be something to celebrate, as the intrusive masks, caps, and constant racket will cease. Plus, we'll get more facetime with him. Emmett has been feisty, throwing temper tantrums when cares are given. These are good things to see.

Emmett did have an echo on his heart today. The cardiologist stopped by tonight, but the computer wasn't wanting to cooperate and wouldn't pull up the report. We'll know something tomorrow morning. Praying for good news with these results.

I do want to take this time to give some credit where it's due. My beautiful wife has been a rock through all of this. Her commitment to following a strict pumping schedule for Emmett is admirable. She stays involved and concerned with Emmett's cares at all times; asking questions and voicing concerns. Us boys are lucky to have her!
