General Season and Day Light Savings

Ok so there will questions concerning what to do during opening weekend of General Season since it will be Day Light Savings as well. Here is what we do.
    1. Three weeks out set all feeders to Day Light Savings (Fall Back) time (I already have all mine set to Fall Back even with Bow season). The Deer will adjust.
    2. Next, on the Friday before the Saturday opening of General Season, set all your watches/alarm clocks to Day Light Savings (Fall Back) time. If you are using a phone to wake adjust accordingly. Yea I know Day Light Savings doesn’t take place until 0200 Sunday but get in that mode on Friday. Better to lose that hour Friday morning trying to get all the time coordinated Sat night.

This has been very helpful to us. Hope it helps.

I bet there will still be a couple threads started about day light Savings and feeder times as we get closer. Happens every year .

I don't change my timer at all. Leave them set for the fall season all year. The deer don't mind.

That makes no sense to me???? I get up on Sat at a time that puts me in the blind an hour before the feeder goes off. When the time changes I do the same thing! Some folks think way too much into really simple things!

Deer don't know there is a time change just get in blind an HR before daylight. Change your timer before you leave on Sunday to match your watch if you need to.

This is why Arizona got rid of daylight savings time. The deer just couldn't adjust.

If my impatient arse gets in the stand an hour before daylight, I’ll be ready to get out 15min before daylight. It’s almost to the point a deer has to want me to shoot it.

We need to see if the Admin can put this as a stickey. I sure don’t want anyone to miss out on a wealth of info.....
