Found the one I shot than ran off yesterday. Called in a total of 6 on one stand and got half of them. I should have had another one but I couldn't get a shot on it. 3 out of 6 is alright I guess. Just not as good as 4 out of 6.

I killed a female yote yesterday with my .223 bolt!

I believe that makes a total of 54!

Is there a thread that has varmint contests and dates? We do the big cat every year but were thinking of try a different one.

I have not hunted them yet but will be in the woods on Saturday with an old friend of mine. He makes calls and has some he wants to try out. Hopefully we will be adding to the thread.

I have not tried calling yet... just sitting on stand while deer hunting, I've killed 6 so far, 1 back in 2018 and the other 5 since New Year! Longest shot was 268 yards facing away... skewered him endways... So technically, I guess that's 5 for '19...

                              This one was '18

Rest were after New Year... We are over-run with yotes... See 2 or more almost every sit morning and evening... Gonna get serious with them after MLD season is closed... meanwhile when I see 'em, I shoot 'em!

Those of you who hunt them via predator calls, what are your recommendations on calls (electronic and hand/mouth)?? None of us are seasoned Varmint hunters, but we're gonna start getting some experience real soon on this new property!
