Actually the concept is much older than The Battle of Gonzales. The Texans adapted the phrase from the Spartan’s Molon labe” at the battle of Thermopylae

The phrase was also used in the war for Independence (USA).

Her interview asking students to pic out a AR15 from a photo and semi automatic weapons was the perfect example of how mislead our youth is today. Most learned about weapons on a video game or one sided media. Sad, just sad.
