Good, never had a need to go into one of their stores, and now a reason not to. Have fun on the way down.

I have only been in a couple stores, but there isn't much to their hunting section of the store. Wouldn't be surprised if they cut out that section altogether.

I used to go, up until they started their new policies.

I cannot imagine keeping their CEO with this idiotic policy if I held their shares of common stock. Their CEO readily admits that sales will indeed drop, but he does not care. He is a fool that will be the reason for their demise.

My son worked for them in Houston last year while he was attending UH.
He said he has never seen employees treated so bad as that place treats them.

The turnover amongst employees is huge.

Agreed...this is probably just a way for them to phase it out and fill up their shelves with more sporting equipment. and win some new liberal customers

Just look at their stock performance in the last year. I thought at first they had a stock split but didn't see it. Went from 50.84 a year ago to 33.04 the last time I looked. I wonder when their board will get tired of it.

In addition, same-store sales will likely be flaccid for Q2. Costs will get out-of-hand, fewer new stores will be erected in 2018, and future expenses will have to be cut to the bone. Share prices will take it on the chin as investors pull out. Short-sellers will get itchy to profit on the refractory period before the next instance of rising earnings. In sum, it's a sucky investment. Avoid buying shares of ****'s.

I'm not sure I buy the title of this, since it looks to me to be very clear that their decision on guns is having a ripple effect in other areas also.
