How much weight is too much weight?

My bow is set at 70# and last night when I was doing some shooting I started to wonder if I need it set up that heavy. My longest shot where I am set up now is 36 yards and my pins are set to 50 yards.

What weight does everyone have their bows set at?

I have mine set at 70. Probably don't need it that high but it's relatively easy to draw.

Mine will go to 72 and I can draw that easily. I shoot it at 65 just because its comfortable.

When i was shooting a lot of 3D i would set it at 65 lbs...but i don't shoot tournaments anymore. Now my hunting rig is set at 70 lbs and it's plenty easy to pull back so i prefer as much energy as possible when the arrow hits the animal. It's just my preference though, a lot less poundage will do just fine...

Can you draw it bundled up, sitting down, after 3 hrs. of being in the stand when its 20 degrees? If not its set to heavy for my taste!

I shoot 55 lbs. I'm old, have had 3 shoulder surgeries and have killed everything I've shot at out to 30 yards. Have absolutely no desire to pump the poundage up. Technology has taken care of that for me. My arrow speed is much faster now at 55 than it ever was at 60.
