Nikon Cool Pix 900

Guys and gals. I'm looking for your opinion on the Nikon cool pix 900. It appears to be a beast for long range but what kind of pictures can I expect to get at the 2-300 yard range? I mean if I want something that can be turned into a print.
I am very new in photography. I have a 7D and a EL 70-200 now but it is no where near the length I want.

I'm thinking of selling my lens, keeping the 7D and buying the 900 until I can afford a big lens.

Imo it's awesome! Probably not like a dslr with high dollar lenses, but good enough to print. My girl, took some pictures of dolphins, jumping in front of the ships, in the Galveston channel, from about 1/4 mile away. I was blow away by how well the pics turned out, especially considering that were action shots.
